DDA INFORMATIONAL MEETING

 
In January 2019 PA (Public Act) 57  went into effect.  Within the new PA 57 the DDA is required to hold two “Informational Meeting”  in 2019.

The first Informational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24th @ 6:30pm and the second meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:30pm.  The meetings are for the purpose of informing the public of the goals and direction of the authority, including projects to be undertaken in the coming year and what has been completed. They are not for the purpose of voting on policy, budgets or other operational matters.

DDA Informational Meeting was held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, July 24th at the Village of Almont Municipal Offices.   There were 10 people in attendance, I did not have a DDA Board quorum, which is not required.   I informed the community that was present about the projects that were completed in the 2018/2019 Fiscal Year, the grant that was received by USDA for the upcoming Streetscape Project as well as the Heritage Festival that is coming up and the Holly Day Parade.   Showed a presentation of the Streetscape Project that will happen in The DDA District.   Meeting was over at 7:00pm.

DDA Board Vacancies

 

VILLAGE OF ALMONT DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY NOTICE

The Almont Downtown Development Authority is seeking interested candidates to fill two vacancies on the DDA Board of Directors.  One position is a four year term, the other position is a three year term.  Members shall be a resident in the DDA District or a business owner. Not less than three (3) of the members shall be persons having an interest in property located in the downtown District.  The DDA meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.  The DDA is responsible for overseeing projects, activities and economic revitalization efforts in the downtown district.  All candidates should submit a letter of interest and an Application for Appointment to Kim Keesler, Village of Almont Clerk Treasurer that will then be given to Kim Schall, Director, Almont DDA, 817 N. Main Street, Almont, MI  48003 by August 23, 2019.

VILLAGE OF ALMONT OFFICE HOURS

 

The Almont DDA would like to let the Community know that at Tuesday Nights Village Council Meeting it was approved to change the Village of Almont Office Hours as of July 1st until October 31st 2018.  The Village of Almont Office Hours will be changing as follows:

New Hours:

Monday - Thursday -  7:00am to 5:00pm


CLOSED ON FRIDAYS
