12th Annual Holly Day Light Parade a Success!

The Almont Downtown Development Authority wishes to extend our sincere appreciation for all the businesses, organizations and individuals who helped to make our 12th Annual Holly Day Light Parade a huge success.  Our float prize sponsors were:  The Law Offices of Steve Schneider and Associates, Great Lakes Legal Team, Dr. Jay Vanderest, D.D.S., E-Bay Consignment and Charlie Brown’s.   The Almont Lions Club, Tri-County Bank, Roza’s Pizza, and the Vineyard Church Youth Group all provided the delicious treats for spectators.   The assistance of Lynn and Tom Marta, Herb Lowell, Stanley Mack, Kevin and Lisa McNeil, our parade judges and our announcer: Paul Bowman helped to make this event truly memorable.   The performance of the Almont vocal music students under the direction of Mr. Adam Wetzel put everyone downtown in the holiday spirit.   The Almont Fire Department is to be commended for a job well done, bringing Santa to the downtown for the lighting of the Christmas tree.  A special “Thank You” to all the participants in the parade – the floats were spectacular!  We hope you make plans to join us again next year.

Santa Comes to Town!

Tree Lighting Ceremony Magical!

Santa was helped by 1st grader, Wyatt Adamski, in lighting the community tree for the first time.  Brought in by the Almont Fire Department, Santa encouraged the crowd to countdown with him before flipping the switch.
SINGING                    MUSIC               DANCING

The Almont Vocal Music Program entertained the crowds of spectators with a selection of holiday music which concluded with an old fashioned Christmas sing.  The Almont High School Band led the parade which featured a performance of the Almont Varsity Dance Team and their Junior Raider dancers.
