The Almont DDA currently operates a facade improvement grant program available to commercial property and business owners located within the DDA district boundaries. This program is designed to encourage economic investment and revitalization of commercial buildings. Grant assistance is provided to facilitate improvements to the physical appearance of buildings including awnings, signage, doors, windows, paint, design assistance and landscaping. Additionally, grants can also be awarded to assist property owners in meeting ADA requirements for handicap accessability. Download a complete copy of the Facade Improvement Program guidelines here.
